Apriamo un post dedicato a Kim Newcombe ed alla Konig per approfondire gli argomenti trattati in questi giorni con Tim Hanna (link ai commenti precedenti)…
Ciao Tim, se ti riferisci alla gara di Misano del 27 Maggio 73,arrivò: 1) Agostini, 2) Read, 3) Newcombe. Ma la certezza assoluta di questo terzo posto di Kim non c’è; in quanto ho notato un errore nella classifica della 500. In ogni caso, vedo di fotocopiare l’ articolo di Motociclismo e mandartelo.
Hi everybody,It is great to see that Kim has his own olace on this site. He raced a lot in Italy and I know from various sources how much he and Janeen liked being there.Kim enjoyed sponsorship from a gentleman who owned a tile factory in Sasuolo – the company was called Lux Ceramica. I have not yet found out anything else about him but I know he was made about motorcycle racing.I am still trying to find out who came first and second in the 500 race at Misano after the Italian GP in 1973. Any information about that would be much appreciated.happy trailsTim

Kim visited Danielle Fontana after the meeting at Misano. Can anyone tell me what he and his home were like. I asked Jack Findlay years ago and all he would say was that Danielle was a top bloke who lived in an old castle.

I hope this shot is OK.
By the way the film referred to above was my project until the producer I took it to forced me out of it. I sued the company and secured film I needed to make my own version which I will do. Although the other largely follows my vision it is overlayed with an editorial attitude I hate. It is indulgently bleak and treats the story as a dark tragedy.
This is no way, in my opinion, to remember Kim.

Dal video risulta che il figlio di Kim ha conosciuto Renzo junior a SPA . Come tutti i padri doveva adorare il figlio sopra ogni cosa, cosi’ si capisce sia vedendo le foto che il filmato lo ha sempre in braccio , …., che triste anno per il motociclismo il 1973 …
